The goal of the photo project "Anneke" was to raise awareness about the challenges associated with Parkinson’s disease and the value of life.
For this exhibition, I photographed Anneke 8 times during one year. The photos provide an accurate depiction of the disease progression.
Some responses from visitors:
“It was moving to see the photos at the location where Anneke now also lives. The focus that was visible on her face during the activities was particularly recognizable to us. And in all the photos, we saw Anneke as she is, her character and expressions remain unmistakably hers. Thank you for the beautiful exhibition!”
“What beautiful photos: so much change, but still so much Anneke!”

In "De Stad Amersfoort" an extensive was interview published on June 27, 2021 about the exhibition.
Project subsidy and crowdfunding: The municipality of Amersfoort supported this project through a subsidy for arts and culture. In addition 32 donors made a contribution.
